COVID-19, Coronavirus, Pandemic...
… Whatever you call it, the Coronavirus has changed a lot of things. Here's how it's changed things at A Smith Opticians...
Coming in to see us
Now we're back open we'd love to see you! Please make sure you give us a call or drop us a message on Facebook to book in. This is so we can make sure the practice is fully cleaned and sterilised after the previous patient and so we can ensure social distancing without too many patients arriving at the practice at the same time. Please ensure you wear a mask or face covering when coming in. We will be wearing visors throughout your visit. You will be asked to use the provided hand sanitiser on entering the practice and we ask that you do not bring additional friends or family members unless essential to minimise face to face contact.
Having an eye examination
Again, please wear your mask to an exam. Alan will be wearing a visor for the majority of the examination, where this is not possible equipment has been fitted with perspex shielding. All surfaces, equipment and lenses will be sterilised before and after your visit. Certain testing methods may be slightly different or not performed if considered non-essential. Otherwise it will be the same tests you know (and hopefully love).
Trying on frames
The most fun part of any visit to us is trying on our fabulous frames. We still love to help you select that perfect style and we're happy for you to try on as many frames as you like. Every frame you try will be sterilised fully before you arrive and after you leave. We again ask for face coverings to be worn where possible. Please call us if you'd like to book in!
If you have any questions about how we're making our practice and your eyecare as safe as possible please don't hesitate to contact us.
