COVID-19, Coronavirus, Pandemic...

Whatever you call it, the Coronavirus has changed a lot of things. Here's how it's changed things at A Smith Opticians...

  • Coming in to see us

Our practices are currently closed. Due to a change in personal circumstances our Harrogate practice will not be re-opening. All patient records are now in the care of our trusted colleague, Sarah Smith at the fabulous Bespoke Eyewear in town.

  • Having an eye examination

Please wear your mask to an exam. we will be wearing a visor for the majority of the examination, where this is not possible equipment has been fitted with perspex shielding. All surfaces, equipment and lenses will be sterilised before and after your visit. Certain testing methods may be slightly different or not performed if considered non-essential. Otherwise it will be the same tests you know (and hopefully love).

  • Trying on frames

The most fun part of any visit to us is trying on our fabulous frames. We still love to help you select that perfect style and we're happy for you to try on as many frames as you like. Every frame you try will be sterilised fully before you arrive and after you leave. We again ask for face coverings to be worn where possible. Please call us if you'd like to book in!

If you have any questions about how we're making our practice and your eyecare as safe as possible please don't hesitate to contact us.
